Favorite Find Friday

So, on Monday we had "Nosh Night" at a friends house...Basically, this is when everyone brings their favorite cheeses, crackers, dip, olives, meat, and whatever else they want from the food section at Spec's or other fine grocery stores.  Here is an iPhone picture(edited with Picnik)  ...I wish I could have gotten one of the whole spread, because it was delish!  **SIDE NOTE: I have been inspired by my other food blogger "friends" to take better quality pictures of my food, so be prepared for that soon!!**

I brought:
  • 2 kinds of smoked salmon
  • spreadable brie
  • mozzarella with pepperinchini peppers rolled inside
  • hummus
  • pita chips
  • capers
  • red onion
We also had
  • smoked Gouda
  • regular Gouda
  • 3 kinds of salami
  • 4 varieties of crackers
  • olives and feta
  • marinated mushrooms
  • whole garlic cloves
  • a few other kids of cheese
  • baklava for dessert
  • wine (which I did not drink...didn't want a headache)
From this whole adventure I found a few items that will be in my regular grocery store rotation:

1) Pita Pal Hummus- I found this at HEB and I was really torn about which variety to get because there were so many good ones.  I got the Roasted Red Pepper and it is fabulous!  The best part about it is A) it is cheap and B) is a pretty large container C) it tastes good and has a better texture than other brands!  Here is the  Pita Pal Website with all of their products.  I also just noticed it is made here in the great state of Texas :)  It shouldn't be too hard to find out where they carry the rest of their yummy looking products :)

No dip would be complete without a good solid cracker to dip into it with :)  This leads me to FF #2....

2) Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers- I originally bought a huge box of these awhile back at Sam's Club on a recommendation from a friend.  They were absolutely wonderful, but I do not have a Sam's membership, so I had accepted they would be just for special occasions.  HOWEVER, while perusing one of the many blogs I follow, The New Healthy, I followed her link to Crunchmaster Website, did a search on the "store locator" and found that they had this smaller bag (pictured above) at Randalls 1 mile away.  These crackers are so light, crunchy, and delicious.  It is hard to believe they are so healthy, because "healthy" cracker usually means <tastes like cardboard> ie, Wasa Crackers.  Here is the website description:
The name says it all. This versatile favorite is packed with delicious toasted seeds (sesame, quinoa, flax and amaranth) and is lightly seasoned with a wheat free tamari soy sauce.  They are also
- All Natural

- Low Sodium

- Cholesterol Free

- Certified Gluten Free

- Sugar Free

- Vegan/Dairy Free

This is all I got for today folks, Happy Friday!!!
Peach, OUT!!
